My post card is a message to others to jump at the opportunities scouting provides because the impact it has on your life is invaluable

"The opportunities I’ve gained through scouting has given me so much confidence, so many memories and lasting friendships. A person who I’d say made the most impact was a Finnish pinkie called Saana I met in 2023, to her I was one of probably hundreds of kids terrified of heights she guided up a mountain that summer but in that one day she changed my perspective completely. She made me believe in my abilities and showed me that positivity and joy can come from scary and exhausting things; it’s a lesson I think I’ll carry forever. Even now when things get tough I think back to that summer, to the mountain and to Saana’a encouragement and remember I have and can do hard things. I hope one day I can be someone’s else’s Saana- I will forever be greatful to her "

The postcard is designed to reflect the spirit of global scouting, emphasizing unity, peace, and friendship across cultures. It features a quote from Baden-Powell, the founder of the Scout movement

"“Leave this world a little better than you found it.” This quote encapsulates the essence of scouting — making a positive impact on the world through personal actions and collective effort. The postcard is crafted to connect scouts worldwide by reminding them that despite our differences, we are united by the same values of service, adventure, and brotherhood. The message is concise yet powerful, encouraging scouts to carry this spirit of unity and service, not just during the event but beyond it, wherever they go. Hey Friends, Hushing limits, the wild is our classroom, and courage is our compass. Remember—the best views come after the hardest climbs. Keep leading, keep exploring, and never stop chasing the next horizon. The world needs scouts like you—bold, kind, and unstoppable! ‘Till our next campfire under the stars,

"Scouting’s core pillars—the Promise & Law, learning by doing, and the Patrol System—have shaped me in ways far beyond just skills; they’ve shaped my character. The Promise and Law became my moral compass, teaching me integrity even when no one’s watching. Learning by doing pushed me to embrace failures as lessons (like that time my first fire took 30 minutes to light!). And the Patrol System? It showed me the magic of teamwork—how trust and shared responsibility can turn a group into a family. The Rashtrapati Award was a defining chapter in that journey. The discipline, perseverance, and service it demanded pushed me to grow in ways I never imagined. It wasn’t just about earning a badge; it was about proving to myself that I could lead, endure, and contribute to something bigger. I’m endlessly grateful for the mentors who guided me and the peers who struggled and triumphed alongside me. Scouting didn’t just teach me how to live—it taught me why it matters."

I thank everyone who has joined Scouting, hopefully in the future we can share more information about our respective regions.

"The experience in Scouting, in my opinion, really shaped my personality. I met many people with different backgrounds and characters. Some were quiet but very thorough, some were lively and full of energy, and some were shy but had a very kind heart. From them, I learned many things: - Teamwork - Leadership - Tenacity and discipline - Empathy and caring The thing I am most grateful for from the Scouting experience is the friendships that were formed. Until now, I still have good relationships with some of my Scout friends. They are my second family, a place where I share joy and sorrow.
