"Challenges like feeling powerless, lack of information, or being too busy can make it hard for someone to take action for the environment. However, every small step we take, like reducing plastic, conserving energy, or supporting eco-friendly initiatives, has a significant positive impact. With awareness and collaboration, we can create big changes for a greener and more sustainable future. Every contribution, no matter how small, truly matters!"
I’m thrilled to share an image from our reforestation activity at La Primavera Forest in Zapopan. It’s inspiring to contribute to the restoration of this beautiful natural area and work together for a greener future! 🌳💚 #Reforestation #LaPrimavera #ScoutingMexico
"Sometimes, what stops me from taking action for the environment is a combination of feeling overwhelmed and not knowing where to start. The scale of issues like climate change, deforestation, and pollution can seem so massive that my individual efforts feel insignificant in comparison. Additionally, a lack of time or resources often gets in the way—balancing school, work, or other responsibilities can make it hard to prioritize eco-friendly habits or participate in larger initiatives like community cleanups. There are also moments when convenience wins out, like using single-use plastics instead of alternatives because they’re more accessible or cheaper. However, reflecting on this makes me realize that even small, consistent actions—like reducing waste or educating myself further—can add up over time. I want to overcome these barriers by setting achievable goals and seeking support from my Scout group or community to stay motivated and make a real difference."
Making small changes in our habits could make a huge impact on our environment. We often get overwhelmed by the thought of having to make a huge impact through big projects and initiatives just so that we can combat climate change. However, it is important to reflect and think about the fact that simple actions, when done consistently, can make a larger impact in the long run. Simple actions such as bringing your tumbler and reusable container for meals, throwing your garbage in the proper bins, and more can make a huge impact if we do these things consistently.
"As mentioned, the thought of having the need to make a big project or initiative often stops us to actually do something for the environment. Hence why we need to focus on simple actions that can be done by anyone that can help our environment."

Planting mangrove seedlings to prevent abrasion around the coast
"The mangrove planting activity was a valuable experience in caring for the environment, especially coastal ecosystems. I learned that mangroves play an important role in preventing erosion, absorbing carbon, and providing habitats for various species. This activity also raised my awareness that protecting nature is a shared responsibility. Even a small step like planting a mangrove tree is a real contribution to a better future."
we did a coastal cleanup
"None, as I believe it's important to take action to protect the environment. I love taking care of our planet and feel strongly about the impact humans are having on it. It's painful to witness the damage being done, but I strive to make a difference through my actions as an individual. Even though it may seem like my efforts are small, I know they count and that we can make a big impact when we work togetherᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ"

"Reflecting on what prevents me from taking action for the environment, I realize that a lack of awareness and understanding of the impact of my actions plays a significant role. Additionally, feeling overwhelmed by the magnitude of environmental issues can lead to a sense of helplessness. Sometimes, the absence of convenient and accessible options for sustainable practices also hinders my efforts. Overcoming these barriers requires better education, motivation, and support to make meaningful changes."
We need to plant more trees and take care of our natural environments! By doing this, we can promote thriving ecosystems in our communities that can benefit our fight against climate change!
"We can run into challenges due to lack of time or space but this can be prevented by partnering with others such as community organizations!"

To make a good and healthy environment. I have done it by cleaning the environment from garbage. Not only that I have also done water cleaning.
"I think taking action for the environment is indeed difficult. But it will all have a positive impact on the surrounding community. I myself am still lacking in awareness of maintaining it. So I continue to develop in order to create the best environment for me and the people around me."

"Reflecting on what holds me back from taking action for the environment, I realize that a lack of awareness and understanding of the impact of my actions is a key factor. Moreover, the sheer scale of environmental issues can sometimes feel overwhelming, leading to a sense of helplessness. At times, the absence of convenient and accessible sustainable options also becomes an obstacle. Overcoming these barriers requires better education, stronger motivation, and greater support to inspire and enable meaningful changes"

"Don’t think that turning on the tap means you can easily access drinking water without understanding the importance of saving and cherishing water sources."

"If I hadn't joined a movement that responds to the needs of the Earth and educates the youth to take action, I wouldn't be able to start this project myself which aims to address the environmental issues that we have in our local community."

This is from one of the tree planting projects sponsored by our Scout unit. Planting plants and trees really help sequester carbon from the atmosphere, reducing the amount of carbon in the air.
"Mostly the expenses involved in taking action, as it requires that I actively spend more money than otherwise. It is completely worth every cent, though."
Conclusion of the "Eco Pledge Forest" activity: This activity invites us to contribute to protecting the environment with small but meaningful actions, such as cleaning rivers or reducing plastic waste. By sharing actions and reflections, we can inspire each other and build a better world together. Every small step we take has a big impact if done consistently and together.

"The changing climate conditions in my country, as well as increasing pollution, make the atmosphere very hot during the day and very cold at night, here or This world needs much more and bigger action"
I started cultivating various types of plants in front of my house using polybags. My goal is simple, I want to help green the surrounding environment and make a small contribution to reducing air pollution. Every morning I water and care for these plants, hoping that one day they can be planted in empty land around the village. I believe that planting trees is one of the simplest yet most powerful ways to make the world a better place. This small action can have a big impact if done together.
"I do not have the body or physical ability to act directly on the environment. However, I can help encourage action by providing information and education on environmental issues, helping design campaign programs or environmentally friendly solutions, supporting individuals and organizations in making sustainable decisions."
We can reduce single-use plastics, support local and sustainable products, walk or cycle more often, and encourage others to join eco-friendly initiatives like tree planting or recycling drives.
"Sometimes it's hard to know where to start or I forget to stay consistent. Also, not everyone around me takes it seriously, which can be discouraging. But I’m learning that every small effort counts. Doing this activity made me realize that change starts with me. By making small, everyday choices more eco-friendly, I can contribute to a larger global impact. "

Nile Cleanup Initiative I, along with members of my group, proudly participated in a **Nile Cleanup Campaign**, a mission dedicated to preserving the beauty and health of our river. The goal was not just to remove waste from the water but to raise awareness about the devastating impact of plastic pollution on marine life and ecosystems. As we worked along the shores, we saw firsthand how discarded plastics threaten fish, birds, and countless other creatures that rely on the Nile for survival. Beyond cleaning, the campaign emphasized education encouraging communities to adopt sustainable practices, reduce single-use plastics, and protect this vital water source. By working together, we can ensure that future generations inherit a cleaner, thriving Nile, rich in biodiversity and free from harmful pollution. Every action counts, and through initiatives like this, we take a step toward a healthier planet for all.
"The Nile Cleanup Campaign was more than just clearing waste it was a commitment to protecting a lifeline. With every piece of trash removed, we strengthened our bond with nature, reminding ourselves that small actions lead to a lasting impact. The Nile isn’t just water; it’s history, life, and a call to responsibility."
