Climate challenge

Understand the impact of carbon emissions and how we can get to Net Zero by 2050.

What has everyone else shared?

"yes i would shared this to my friend and social media. I’m sharing this challenge to raise awareness about something we all need to think more about: our carbon footprint. Every small action we take—like turning off lights when not in use, walking or biking instead of driving, and choosing reusable items—can reduce the amount of harmful emissions we put into the atmosphere. We need to start using energy more efficiently and shift from non-renewable energy sources (like coal and oil) to renewable ones such as solar, wind, and hydro power. Renewable energy is cleaner, safer, and better for our future. This planet is our only home. By making simple, conscious choices, we can protect it—not just for ourselves, but for the generations to come."

"I tried to answer this quiz intelligently and logically. My planet is on track to warm by 2.05°C by 2100 compared to the pre-industrial average. That's bad( Don't make me the Minister of Ecology "

"Together, you can make a bigger difference If you are with your friends, you will have more energy and more people will practice it than if you act alone. We can learn from each other You can solve climate problems smarter by sharing good ideas and practices that your friends know. The forces that protect the Earth come together It has a much greater effect when several people reduce it together than when one person reduces it. Even small actions can make a big difference."

"Reflection I would definitely share this challenge with my friends because it's a great way to raise awareness about climate change. By sharing it, we can encourage each other to take action and make small changes in our daily lives to reduce our environmental impact. It’s important to inspire others to think about their carbon footprint and the positive changes we can make together for a healthier planet. "

"Absolutely, I’d share this challenge with my friends—because it’s more than just a task; it’s an experience. It sparks curiosity, encourages teamwork, and leads to a meaningful destination—both literally (like KISC!) and figuratively, through reflection and connection. Sharing it invites others into a journey of discovery, which is at the heart of Scouting and friendship."

"I didn't manage to get to net zero but my planet is on course for 1.56C of warming by 2100 compared with the pre-industrial average. Extreme heatwaves will be about five times more likely and droughts twice as frequent, compared with the pre-industrial average, but my actions have averted the very worst effects of climate change. While the impact would have been milder at 1.5C, i still succeeded in achieving the less ambitious Paris agreement goal of limiting warming to “well below 2C”."

"Yes, I would share the Climate Challenge with my friends because it helps raise awareness about how our everyday actions affect the planet. It’s a fun and interactive way to learn, and the more people who take part, the bigger the impact we can make together. Sharing it also encourages others to think about their choices and join in on positive change for the environment."

"Managed to keep warming to below 1.5 C. Learned that some decisions may seem difficult or may upset people, however, there are often benefits that we don't always see at first (e.g. new jobs in green economy). Would definitely share with a friend, as it puts in perspective how both easy and difficult it is. It also highlights how different people and ecosystems can be affected by this problem."

Gwenny

"Of course, I want to share this challenge with my friends because climate change is a global issue that affects everyone. By sharing it, I hope to raise their awareness of the importance of protecting the environment and inspire positive actions, such as reducing plastic use, saving energy, or planting trees. The more people who care, the greater the positive impact we can make together."

Muhammad Al Farizi Nur Veriansyah

"The Net Zero 2050 goal is a global effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero for a healthier planet. Though 2050 seems far away, real action must start now. Everyone has a role—from saving energy and reducing waste to supporting renewable energy. Small steps today shape the future of our Earth. Let’s move together toward a cleaner, more sustainable world."
